so I more or less took the summer off from working for two reasons. 1) my first born son was born - amazing. 2) I decided to re-engineer the bars entirely and make a lot of templates and demo bars.
I met chris at the LCBO the other day and took a look at his Maple bars he's been running with for a few months. they look so nice now, like antique furniture almost in that well worked oil finish + daily hand polishing sweat way- like an old axe or hatchet or somethin.
back to point, the "new" bars (v2) are no longer made from sweet grained hardwoods but rather from sweet high-grade aircraft ply. on average each bar is rocking 21 layers of ply at 1/16". what does that mean? damn strong son, is what that means.
